i walked into the room with trisha and then quickly decided on where to sit. see, you have to be really really careful about where you choose to sit on the first day of anything school-wise. otherwise, you could end up sitting next to snot boy or something. which is not good in anyway. so yeah, back to the whole' sitting thing'
Trisha, being such a smart girl, chose to sit in the 2nd row,(there where only 3 rows. btw) next to the projector. so i sat right next to her, the seat on my left, empty. so the lesson started. by the way, i just moved into normal chinese classes from this week onwards, because last year's higher chinese course is just waaaaay higher over my below normal expectations in chinese. you get the idea.
so, the lesson started and the teacher came in, did the usual, attendance, the whole 'getting to know you' thing, and then guess what. she sat right next to me. not in front, not at the back, not in the middle.
NEXT
TO
ME. yep. way to go girl. no note passing, no whisper whisper hey did you hear what... no, book reading under the table, no sneaking sweets into your mouth pretending to cough out loud while throwing M&Ns into your mouth. just plain ol' honest attention in class. nice one trisha.
and just in case you might be curious about it, there is ALOT of difference between higher and normal chinese classes.
Higher chinese
1) everyone reads out loud when the teacher asks you to. ( except me and trisha)
2) everyone gets top marks(except me and trisha)
3) no one asks questions, they just DO stuff.(except me and trisha)
4) everyone pays attention. ( except me and trisha)
5) the teacher likes you ( E.M.A.T)
6) the teacher doesn't call your parents or talk to you after class. (ditto)
normal chinese
1) all of the above. just opposite.
so anyway, i just went to RHEMA at my church, Grace assembly and it was awesome. you know, the annual rhema conference(which i didn't attend last year and dutifully regret) anyway, here's a video link if you want to know more about it.
we did praise and worship and then this pastor who comes from Australia did a sermon about how we should all have the hunger for God and that in order to do that, we should empty ourselves from whatever's filling us up inside us now.
Top 5 things that fill me up now:
1)TV
2)reading Harry potter
3)games(i'm getting rid of that as we speak.)
4)hate, of a certain someone(still getting rid of it!)
5)frustration.(yeah, that sort of always stays in me. i'm not exactly what you may call 'patient', but i'm working on it.)
