and for the record, I really do love you all. really. well, not really, or i'd probably be a hobo girl selling seashells by the beach. hmmm.

9:30pm

yeah, i didn't feel like 'it' last wednesday. so instead, i'm going to post this one week later, which is today. Penang was great, and quite fun. i went with my grandparents who live in malaysia, and they even followed me and my parents when we went trekking up to monkey beach through the forest( yeah monkey beach is MONKEY beach because, well, there're loads of monkeys invading the seaside. as if it isn't obvious enough) oh yeah, and me and my grandpa saw a jellyfish swimming around in the waves when we were walking along the shore line. so he did what anyone would eventually do.
he poked it. yes. with a stick. but it didn't move or whip him into barbecue with its deathly poisonous tentacles. see, turns out it's already dead, so we took a closer look at it( grandma stayed way far behind) and we saw that it had a small gash in its jelly head thing. wonder what could have done it?
also, there was one day when we were following the GPS up this crazy thin one-way road, well, it isn't exactly a road. more like a dirt path that winded through small villages and tight bends, so you could hardly see if there was another car heading your way-in the opposite direction.
we had a few close calls, but then as we were driving up and going to turn left into yet another bend, this motorcycle came out from nowhere. i think the man on the bike must have been really shocked, and he pulled the brakes and when skidding towards us. and finally, the bike swerved sideways and the man landed on the floor, his bike lying on his side.
my dad and grandpa went out of the car and tried to help him up just as three men came out from the bushes next to the road. my grandma said that they were probably from the village. and then the man who fell just got up, sat on his bike and drove away. but i caught a glimpse of his leg and it was quite well covered in blood.
so anyway, we decided not to follow the GPS and we used 'grandpa's brain' to find our way around and just as we stopped at the traffic lights, this motorcycle came zooming past us. yep, it was the one that almost crashed into us earlier on. and guess what the man did?
he pointed at us with his middle finger. typical. like it was us who were speeding down a hill.
it looked something like this. killer huh?

10:55pm..going to penang, malaysia tomorrow.

Yeah, i'm going to penang malaysia tomorrow.(i just realized that i just repeated what i had said in the title. so ignore this whole line.)
Oh yeah, i went to watch HP & the deathly hallows yesterday with chloe and tammy and it was ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT! and the parts with Harry and hermoine's awkward dancing was like so funny, it had me and chloe laughing our bum-oleys out of our guts in our chairs. i know, weird expression, but that was really how it felt.
and of course they had to stop the movie right where bellatrix knifed dobby, well, you know the story(unless you've decided to be a caveman for the past century and has been living in a hole in the ground ever since) hmm..voldemort's not getting any prettier isn't he?
so, anyway, more up on the trip to malaysia when i get back on wednesday...if i feel like it.

Class outing 7:46pm

hey, so sorry i didn't write anything much but i was kinda busy..and i just started writing in my old diary again, but anyway, class outing was a blast. we went cycling and had a great BBQ(although i must say, i'm not the best you can come to for having well-cooked chicken) The food tasted OK, i guess, but it wasn't exactly cooked properly. but that's besides the point. point is, it was a success, and we even had too much food left so we could get free stuff!!! and when we were done eating, Wei Qian and I had a go at one of the games that some of the people in class designed and it was quite fun. well, besides the ball throwing and ahhh-the-ball-is-coming-right-at-your-face-parts.
sweet huh?

And then we went cycling, which was chaotic at first. the rental shop was HUGE! and bicycles were lined up in neat rows everywhere. Well, we wanted to try something new, so we took the two seater bikes. it was kind of scary at first. imagine if you had this big bulky package at the end of your bike and it wasn't doing anything. I was practically cycling a hundred kilos all by myself. but Wei Qian got it in the end and we were off paddling like pros-well, except for the parts when we almost crashed into a tree......and when we kind of went off course at times...but it was okay.
so, anyway it was set that we all met up at the rental shop at four plus, but when we were cycling back, we sort off accidentally crashed into someone else. so after a hasty apology and a few quick looks of guilt, we made our way back...only to find ourselves on a bridge i've never crossed in my entire life. yep, we went slightly too far and were lost.
we managed to find our way back though, thanks to wei qian's superb memory skills and everything...okay,okay i admit i'm not exactly the one person you go to for directions...and i kinda panicked-but point is, we got back safe and sound, and that's what matters most, right?
we ended with a cake cutting ceremony that was fun, and the cakes that megan and natasha(classmates)baked were ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT!!! i just couldn't stop eating them!! it had a nice creamy, spongey taste to it. and it was all chewy and everything, like a good cake should be. they're geniuses i tell you. I mean, a few months back they baked cupcakes for some people and there were leftovers so i took some and it was the best homemade cupcake i'd ever eaten. well, okay-enough with my rants on pastry, i've gotta go.
pinky the blood thirsty cupcake

9:30pm...class outing food buying/I run with bananas/RIP slippers/etc.etc.

How about i just put the whole lot into story form? since i have absolutely nothing better to do.

CHAPTER 1
"wei qian, hello? I'm here already." I said into my phone, brilliantly slow, as always. I am, as usual, the first to arrive at our  rendezvous-place. and i sat on a nice bench all lonely and everything. She didn't reply. nice. And then I looked up and saw this girl's head bobbing up and down through the morning crowd, she came over and said,"hi!" cheerfully. I know, this story seriously sucks, but anyway, the whole point of this chapter is just about us meeting. done.
CHAPTER 2
We meet at the Food Court upstairs(the really nice cool one, not the one downstairs that hardly anyone goes to unless the one upstairs is full) with another three girls, Philys, Li Jie, and Rachel(yes my name is everywhere!!!surprise!) who've agreed to help us with buying the stuff. done.
CHAPTER 3
So, we all sat down in a nice lovely(not really, i'm running out of adjectives) spot. I said,"Ok, so all i had this morning was preserved plum so i'm gonna get myself something to eat." I looked at Wei Qian, expectantly. "What?!" she said,"I'm not hungry. "fine" I replied. and i walked over to the korean stall to get myself some Kimchi noodles that tasted like curry. a good $5 note gone. And our conversation topics were kind of limited..to food..so i kinda just ate. done.
CHAPTER 4
We decided to split up. arggh, who am i kidding? this is boring. let me just skip to the good parts.
SUMMARY OF CHAPTERS 5,6,7,8
Phil, LJ and Rachel managed to get the stuff that we wanted. they 'volunteered' to do the sandwiches.
me and Wei Qian are now heading on to this Mega Mall, IMM. we are now at the train station.
CHAPTER 9
"Ok, What now?" I say. Wei Qian points at this HUGE queue for the direct bus to the Mall. It was depressing. standing there, knowing that it'll take like forever for the bus to come, plus, we'd be squashed in there like oranges. into pulp. So, I suggested,"Hey, why don't we walk? it's not That far, right? I mean, we'd probably have to wait for two buses before we get into anything."
"erm, well, can i get a slurpee first? I think i might just die of thirst if i walk all the way there without my slurpee..." she said, all annoyingly and Wei Qian-like.( ok, my vocab is like -10, but anyway,)
I just looked at her and walked. she followed.
worst thing we ever did.
CHAPTER 10
"sooooo tired.." she said.
"don't worry, we're almost..." I looked around. Ok. now where are we, exactly? I can see that tall building up there, a bus stop to the right, and some construction fences..but no Mall. we took a turn and found ourselves at a crossroad. I gasped,"Oh my gosh, look at that!" I pointed to a car standing in the middle of the road that had its wheel smashed out of its frame, bits of metal scraps were lying at a curb, wheel lying 3 metres away from the car. "whoa.." Wei Qian said. Next to it, two policemen were scribbling something into notebooks. Now, we were standing at a place that had two zebra crossings going into different directions. one turning towards somewhere familiar and the other at the smoking car. yup, you guessed it. Car.
Second worst decision we ever made.
CHAPTER 11
Green light.
we cross, and had a closer look at the car, it looked pretty ruffed up, like a rhino had charged into it. and then we passed the policemen. it was like, awesome. we were gaping open mouthed at their real life GUNS. I mean, they were like CSI people, with all the cool gadgets and walkie-talkies. it was cool, until we couldn't find the building. just like another episode of LOST. but this was worst. it's REAL.
CHAPTER 12
"oh look!!!! I saw it. THERE!!!" Wei qian said, and pointed towards a gap in between two buildings. And there, as plain as could be was the mall. we walked. there. done.
CHAPTER 13
in the mall. at the BBQ section. Me in the trolley. Loads of people were like, staring at me. sure sure. a 13 year old in a trolley? yeah. it's cool.
CHAPTER 14
CROWDED,that's one way to see it. the cashiers were followed by an endless line of people. we waited patiently for our turn and when that finally came, the cashier lady took all our items, scanned and placed in bags. all except for two bunches of bananas. "whoarrtooopuer" she said. or at least, that's what she sounded like. "what?!" I said. she murmured something else. and then a helpful lady beside me came in and said,"she said that you need to weigh the bananas first to get the price." I was like, ohhh, china person, no wonder I didn't understand.(my chinese is terrible. TRUST ME.) And then i was like, argghh, don't you tell me that i have to get the bananas weighed and queue up all OVER again. after telling Wei Qian to handle the cash, I ran through shelf after shelf of stuff, pushing my way through a sea of people and thinking, well, maybe if i hurry i could get there in time. I flew over to the weighing station and just threw the bananas into the hands of an unsuspecting staff member, who weighed it and stuck stickers on it. then i just grabbed them out of her hands and rushed back. it was hectic-ly impossible. especially when this guy who was carrying a baby was in my way. i was like,"excuse me..hello??" and he was like,"whoo's a gooood baby??? whoooo's my little-" and i just pushed my way through.
CHAPTER 15
a horrible, "too-late-you-slow-bye!" moment. i had to queue up all over again. for bloody bananas.
CHAPTER 16
Our fingers were just HELL!!!! I mean, i could practically feel the bag handles slicing through my fingers with every step i took. not preetty.
CHAPTER 17
dead tired. plus i don't feel like writing much, either way, while i was walking home, my slippers broke and now i have new ones. THE END

7:35...we climb a granite rock/ Wei Qian falls/ I spend my $$ on plasters

Oh yes, cycling today. we started off at Wei Qian's house, paddling like no tomorrow. We did stop by somewhere to get me some bubble Tea, while she got a nice cold slurpee. and eventually, we decided to head on to this man made lake, something like this:
Well, obviously this is a photoshopped product.
Story is, some idiot went on and blew this piece of granite rock up into bits and filled it up with lake water. weird. I know.
but anyway, we were like wondering around, taking pictures and stuff, and we climbed onto this rock that was like 5 metres high. and we went back. the end.
No wait, I totally forgot about the time when we headed on to Chua Chu Kang Park and decided to do some extra-terrestrial exploring, and we climbed up this hill that had signs all over it that said: DANGER! DURIANS!!
but we went on anyway, since if you actually had a durian drop on your head, of all places and time, you are most likely the unluckiest person on the planet.
and guess what?! we found this place that was all fenced up like some secret government HQ, and had signs that had this army guy shooting someone, with INTRUDERS WILL BE SHOT labels everywhere. cool. I know!!!! But the place was full of ants that climbed all over you like nobody's business so we did a runner.
If it wasn't all that threatening,
It would have been quite cool.
On the way back, I cycled faster than Wei Qian, and when I reached the traffic lights, she was nowhere to be seen. well, I thought she was pulling up my pants and that she decided to play a trick on me. Yeah, I know. I am that kind of person.( due to some pranks my other friends played on me, I pretty much became mental on suspicious-ness.)
but I got a phone call and it was none other than wei qian, who said," Rachel...I fell down..." wow. yeah. like that. W-O-W.
I rushed back and saw this girl wearing a bright orange shirt on the floor, bike turned upside down. it wasn't that serious, really, but still, there was this huge gash on her knee. Plus, she broke her toenail. So i rushed into a nearby supermarket and got her some first aid stuff with my spare change.( woohoo, i'm just OVERFLOWING with $$$!!!! not.)
oh yes, and she managed to pour out a load of alcoholic hand sanitizer onto her cut and she screamed out, like this,"YEEEAAAAHOOOWWWWEAAAAAAAOOUUUU!!!!!!!"
and we sat down on the stairs and just wiped away all the blood.(and what was left of the hand sanitizer)
she was okay in the end, though i can just imagine her showering. it would be like:
" SPlash splash...OOWWWWW!!!!! splash, Ow!!!!!! splashity splash OWWWW!!!!"
I do hope she'll be okay.
Yay Plasters!!!!!
